Kinneret Rand-Yadin
Founder & CEO

KINNERET RAND-YADIN is a scientist and entrepreneur with a background in biology research, biotechnology, and pharmaceuticals. She founded Akrivita (formerly SeeTrue), a woman-owned company, specializing in micro-capillary needles for precision micro-injection. Her work has earned her grants and awards from the National Institute of Health (NIH), National Science Foundation (NSF), and Maryland Industrial Partnerships (MIPS), and an investment from Maryland Technology Development Corporation (TEDCO).
Kinneret holds a PhD in Cell Biology and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Laboratory of Molecular Genetics, NICHD/NIH. In her research, she utilized microinjection techniques, gaining firsthand insight into the challenges of microcapillary needles and their impact on the success of experiments requiring microinjections.
Kinneret was a staff scientist at Thermo-Fisher Scientific (formerly Life Technologies), where she worked on product development and manufacturing processes with cross-functional teams. She developed a successful portfolio of bioassay, antibody, and protein products, scaling them for new markets. Her expertise includes global operations and manufacturing in GLP/GMP environments, as well as developing products from R&D to product launch.
Her experience at Medimmune (acquired by AstraZeneca) in the Cardio-Vascular and Metabolic Disease Group and in managing clinical trials gave her in-depth knowledge of clinical trial operations, FDA regulations, and risk assessment protocols.
Kinneret served as an Entrepreneur in Residence at the University of Maryland, advising on the commercial potential of intellectual property. She was also a mentor at the Korean Innovation Center Tech Frontier program at George Washington University, providing guidance to startup teams.
