Additive Manufacturing Advisor

PROF. RYAN D. SCHOOL, PHD is an Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Maryland, College Park, where he leads the Bioinspired Advanced Manufacturing (BAM) Lab, focusing on micro/nanoscale 3D printing for biomedical applications. He is also affiliated with the Fischell Department of Bioengineering, the Fischell Institute for Biomedical Devices, and the Maryland Robotics Center, and serves as Co-President of the Mid-Atlantic Micro/Nano Alliance (MAMNA).
Previously, Dr. Sochol was an NIH Fellow at Harvard-MIT and founded the M3B Lab at UC Berkeley. He holds a B.S. from Northwestern University and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from UC Berkeley, with minors in Bioengineering and Public Health. He received the NSF CAREER Award in 2020 and teaches a course on Additive Manufacturing.
